Buying and licenses

What's the difference between a $5 game and a license?
A single game is $5 and yours to keep. A license gets you all 150 games plus every game I add later, in one purchase:
  • Teacher License, $150: one teacher, with all of your own students on all of your classroom devices.
  • School License, $499: every teacher in one school.
  • District License, $1,499: every school in your district.
Buying all 150 games one at a time would cost $750, so the Teacher License saves you $600. See the licenses.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and that's it. There are no monthly fees and nothing renews. Download the games once and use them year after year.
How does buying work?
Click Buy on any game or license. Checkout is through Payhip, a secure checkout for digital products, and sales tax is handled for you. You can download right after you pay, and your download link is also emailed to you.
How do I get new games after I buy a license?
When I release a new game, in any subject, I add it to the All-Access bundle at no extra cost. Log in to your Payhip account and it will be there.
Can I share the games with other teachers?
A single $5 game or a Teacher License is for one teacher: use the games with all of your own students and on all of your classroom devices. To share with colleagues, get a School License for every teacher in one school, or a District License for every school in your district. Thank you for supporting a fellow teacher!
Can I get an invoice or receipt for my school?
Yes. Payhip emails you a receipt right after you buy. Open the link in that receipt to generate a PDF invoice: enter your school's billing details, then download it and send it to your bookkeeper. If you need to fix the details later, open the same link and generate it again.
Can my school pay with a purchase order?
Checkout is through Payhip, so I don't take purchase orders directly. Instead, pay with a school card and use the Payhip invoice for your records: open the link in your receipt email, enter your school's billing details and download the PDF for your bookkeeper.
What's your refund policy?
Because the games are digital downloads you can get right away, all sales are final and I can't offer refunds once a purchase is complete. But I want every game to work in your classroom. If something goes wrong, email me at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and I'll make it right:
  • Broken or missing file: I'll send a working copy or a replacement.
  • Duplicate purchase: if you accidentally bought the same product twice, I'll refund the duplicate.
  • Technical problems: I'll help you troubleshoot. If we can't get it working, I'll offer a different product or a refund.
Please include your order number and a short description of the problem (screenshots help!). I usually respond within 1–2 school days. Free products: there's nothing to refund, but I'm happy to help if you have trouble getting a free game. Before disputing a charge, please contact me first. Most problems get fixed within a day. And please try the free demo and read the game's description before you buy, so you know it fits your classroom.
I lost my download link. How do I get my games back?
Search your email for your Payhip receipt; it has your download link. License games also live in your Payhip account, so you can log in with the email you used at checkout and download them again. Still stuck? Email me at [email protected] and I'll sort it out.

Free games and demos

How does "Pick any 3 games free" work?
Sign up on the free games page with your first name and school email, and I'll email you a personal code from [email protected]. Add any three $5 games to your cart and enter the code at checkout. It takes $15 off, so all three games are free and yours to keep. There's one code per teacher. If the email doesn't show up, check your spam folder, or sign up again with the same email and I'll re-send your code.
What's in a free demo?
Every game has a free demo on its page. You get 5 questions (or 5 minutes) of the real game, right in your browser, so you can see how it plays with your class before you buy. Demos run on this website, so they need internet. The full game you download is the one that works offline.

Using the games in class

What devices do the games work on?
Any device with a web browser: Chromebooks, Windows laptops, Macs, iPads and classroom smartboards. The games open in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.
Do the games work on Chromebooks?
Yes. Save the game file to the Chromebook, open the Files app and click it. It opens in Chrome and plays with WiFi turned off.
Do students need accounts or internet?
No. There are no student logins, no passwords and nothing to install. Once downloaded, the games work completely offline. You can put them on a USB drive, a shared network drive or each computer's Downloads folder. How offline play works.
How do I start a game?
Each game downloads as a zip file. Open it and you'll find the game file and a one-page Quick Start guide. Double-click the game file to open it in your browser, choose the number of players and a grade, and press Start.
How does team play work?
Up to 6 players or teams share one screen and take turns. The game tracks scores, turns and rounds for you, so you can focus on the math talk. Put it on the smartboard for whole-class team play, or on one Chromebook for a small-group station.
What happens when a student misses a question?
Every answer is checked right away. When a student misses one, the game shows the worked steps so they can see where it went wrong and learn from it.
Are the questions the same every time?
No. Math problems are new every game, so students can play again and again. Reading and science games draw from hundreds of questions.
Can students play the games at home?
Yes. You can post the game files in your digital classroom, like Google Classroom or Blackboard, so your own students can play at school or at home. Your license covers the students you teach; to share with other teachers' classes, see the School and District licenses above.
Do the games collect student data?
No. The games don't send anything over the internet, and there are no accounts. Scores and turns stay on the screen in front of your class.

Grades and standards

Which grades and subjects are covered?
Math, reading/ELA and science, from kindergarten through high school. Math runs from early number sense and fact fluency through a full 7th grade Pre-Algebra collection, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Precalculus. Many games let you choose the grade on the start screen so the questions match your class, and each game lists its grades. Browse by grade.
Which standards do the games match?
Every game lists the standards it practices. Math games list Common Core, and many also list the Oklahoma Academic Standards (OAS). Reading/ELA games list Oklahoma standards and Common Core, and science games list Oklahoma standards and NGSS. You can search by standard to find games for the one you're teaching.
Is there a pacing guide?
Yes. The Curriculum Guide lays out every grade and course, K–12, with each unit's standards, the games that fit it, and a tip for using them. You can also download it as a PDF.

About Fletcher Math

Who makes these games?
I'm Justin Fletcher, a middle school math teacher. I make games that a whole class can play together, with nothing to set up, so you can open one tomorrow morning and go.
How do I get help?
Email me at [email protected] and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. You can also reply to your purchase receipt email.

Every game has a free demo, works offline and needs no student logins.
